

Manchester Airport

A city started by the Romans it was believed that Manchester was one of the first to be industrialised. As well as magnificent architecture, clubs pubs and restaurants this cosmopolitan city is full of interesting places to visit including galleries, churches libraries arts and heritage centres. These include the Manchester art gallery, the museum of science and industry, Manchester cathedral and Manchester town hall.
Manchester International Airport It is the UK's third largest airport after Heathrow and Gatwick and one the most cosmopolitan cites in the United Kingdom. In 2003 it handled 20 million passengers and provided direct flights to over 180 destinations worldwide by over 90 airlines, and is located on the boundary between Cheshire and Manchester. Because of the length of its runways the airport is able to handle large jets. Manchester still produces in excess of approx 50% of the united kingdoms manufactured goods.
