Bristol International Airport

Bristol International Airport is the main commercial airport for Bristol. In March 1997 the name was changed from Bristol Airport to Bristol International Airport. In 2000, passenger numbers exceeded two million, and travelling customers broke the three million barrier in 2002, which was largely due to the arrival of the low-cost carrier airlines. Its abundance of restaurants, bars and cinemas plus art galleries makes Bristol a great place to visit.

Bristol has a mixture of coastal, urban and countryside locations in which an exciting mixture of tradition blends with a more contemporary environment. It has been chosen as a European city of culture with its restaurants, markets, galleries and museums including the maritime heritage centre and the world's largest helicopter museum. It also holds Britain 's largest wildlife water park of over 132 lakes, the Cotswold Water Park .
