Blackpool Airport

Blackpool has been a popular British tourist destination since the Victorian era sporting many famous monuments and attractions such as Blackpool tower, the 5 mile long illuminations and the Pleasure Beach funfair. Blackpool promenade has other attractions such as the Golden Mile and the Sea Life centre. Another place of interest is the award winning Blackpool model village and gardens.

The city offers a great selection of shops, cafes and restaurants as well as its nightlife which boasts pubs, bars, clubs and shows in the Grand theatre.

There is also the airport at Blackpool offering flights to many British cities and Manchester 's International airport is just over an hour away.

Shopping and Facilities

Shops bar and buffet are located in the main concourse and open during airport hours, while there is a duty-free shop a small bar and a children's play area in the international departure lounge.

A bureau de change is available near the information desk in the main terminal, open for all international flights. A post box is located just outside the terminal building.

The VIP lounge is available upon request and provides a range of business facilities (ph: +44(0) 1253 343434).

Directions

Blackpool Airport serves the northwest of England and is an increasingly busy regional airport, with scheduled flights to London , Belfast , Dublin , and the Isle of Man.

Blackpool airport is accessible from a network of motorways. The airport is situated south of Blackpool city centre, 10 minutes from the end of the M55, From Junction 4 of the M55 follow the A5230 south and turn left at the first roundabout. via the A5230.

Rail

The airport terminal is only five minutes' walk from the Squires Gate train station; this runs regular trains to and from Preston train station.

Special Needs

The airport is spread out on one level as it is a single terminal, making access easy for disabled passengers. Other facilities include specially designed toilets, lowered phones, wheelchair use and dedicated parking.
