Belfast city has an extraordinary architectural heritage and has been described as a living historical city because of the industrial influences still evident in present times such as the stone and ironwork in Saint George's market which has been recently restored. It also boasts relics such as The Gasworks which fuelled Victorian Belfast's rapid industrial growth and restored buildings along the golden mile such as The Grand Opera house. There are also churches and cathedrals, old bars and markets as well as the Ulster folk and transport museum for a guided history of Belfast and for the family there is Belfast Zoo, Exploris aquarium or Steamvale open farm. You can also tour Belfast by boat, bus or bicycle.
