Glasgow Prestwick International Airport is situated north of the town of Prestwick in Ayrshire, Scotland. The airport is known as Glasgow Prestwick International Airport because Glasgow, Scotland's largest city is approximately 29 miles Northeast of the airport. Prestwick Airport is considered to be Scotland's fastest growing airport, and much of this success can be attributed to it's involvement with Europe's largest low cost airline, Ryan Air, who have regular flights to and from Prestwick.

 

 

Shopping and Facilities

Until recently, Prestwick operated it's own shopping outlets, but in July 2002 they began developments to include other retail outlets, which have now been completed. It now features WH Smith and a Tax and Duty Free shop, with food and drink being supplied via Select Service Partners who offer a Food Village and Alloway Bar.

Directions

The M77 road link means that Glasgow city centre is only a 32 mile drive on motorway and "A" class dual carriageway from Glasgow Prestwick International (Please note the M77 is undergoing major roadwork please allow extra time for your journey).
