London Luton Airport, which was previously known as Luton International Airport, is an airport about 30 miles to the north-west of London in the town of Luton, Bedfordshire with easy access from the M25.

London Luton Airport was first opened on July 16, 1938. During the Second World War the airport was used as a base for RAF fighters. Following the war the land was returned to the local council as a commercial operation, providing the base for major tour operators. London Luton airport is centrally situated for easy access to London Oxford and Cambridge.

To and From the East and A1

Access to London Luton Airport from the East and A1 is via the A505 dual carriageway Hitchin. The airport lies just off the A505 and is clearly signposted.The airport lies just off the A505 and is clearly signposted!

To and From the M25

Access to London Luton Airport from the West is possible through several routes. If approaching via Dunstable, follow the airport signs. Alternative approaches include travelling via M40/M25 to join the M1 and then exit via Junction 10. Exit the M25 at Junction 21 for the access to the M1 .
